As the power returned to the entire facility, halls were lit... zeds were awakened, but at least the place was safe for the time being. He hated to admit it, but his feelings were a bit better since he left Cleaver to deal with getting out of the basement levels. He just did not want to talk to anyone after that incident, hell he did not want to talk to anyone for a while. Walking into his bedroom, he decided to shut the door and leave it unlock. It was not as if the zeds could open doors or anything, but they could bang on them for a bit. He kind of wanted to shoot at something for a while, to vent his frustration that was building up inside of him. Johnny, that old bastard, finally bought the farm. He still did not understand how Johnny turned or why he was bit when Riley wasn't. It just did not make sense. A light sigh escaped his lips... as he threw off all of his gear and tossed it aside. Placing a fresh magazine into his CZ-75, he placed it along the banister nearby. All the rest of his gear was flung into the corner nearby the large king sized bed. For some reason or another, he actually chose one of the presidential suites.

Propping himself onto the bed, he grabbed the old AK-47 and a dust rag that was in his poncho. For now he just wanted to contemplate and find out his next move. Ejecting the magazine, he slowly realized that Johnny's AK-47 was not the original model that it came packaged in. Running a finger along the barrel, he could make notes of several customizations along the side. The breach was soldered down to help reduce weapon's jams. The wood along the back handle was not plywood, but actually made of a thick carbon/polyester component. Hell, even the magazine breaches had brand new components on it to prevent the magazine from falling out in mid firefights. Custom springs... hell, he could smell the gun polish from the breach.

The old bastard took care of this weapon like it was his life, and now... it was his. "You sunnavah bitch..." He curled up around the rifle as he began to rub a fine cloth around the edges of the weapon. As time passed, he slowly clutched his hands around the rifle and began to drift off. He never realized how... tired... he was...

Her back ached and her muscles screamed for some sort of relief from the flaring pain that made her nerves stand on edge. She was sore all over, particularly in the toned flesh of her legs and a thin layer of perspiration caused her already skin-tight black leotard to hug more firmly to every little curve of her upper body; the outward swell of her breasts that rounded off on the sides, the inward dip of her trim waist and even the sudden curve of her full hips that lay partially covered by the dark loose fitting jeans that rode low upon them. Yet despite all the discomfort Noel had not felt this relaxed in a very long time and she savored every little bit of it as if it were some sweet treat. The workout she had gone through earlier in the gym of the school had proven to be a most enjoyable experience and Noel’s mind was, for once, completely at easy as she strolled along the residence area, black flip-flops tapping loudly against the ground as if to announce her presence, mostly hidden as the hem of the legs of her baggy jeans dragged across the ground. Her dirty blonde hair had long since been released from the bun she had tied it into earlier and fell in curled waves of burnt golden silk like a luscious waterfall down the flesh of her smooth back which her leotard left uncovered all the way down to the swell of her taut heart-shaped rear that swung as her hips swayed. The wagging of Noel’s hips caused a glock 19 9mm to bounce lightly against her right hip as it lay in the holster strapped around the waistline of her jeans like a belt.

Clutched in her right fist, half-empty as always was Noel’s old friend, a bottle of Jack Daniel’s whiskey that could have very well been the cause of Noel’s current state of relaxation. But as relaxed as it made her the dark liquid had seemed to go to Noel’s head for as her dazzling honey brown eyes looked this way and that nothing seemed familiar in her surroundings; where the hell was her apartment? Noel would pause to mull it over in her head, swaying slightly on her feet as she tilted her head, being true to her nickname as she babbled on to herself in that crazy manner she was known for. “Now where do I live again?” She’d question aloud before answering herself. “You’re such and idiot Noel.”

She’d berate herself in a very stern and irritated tone before she’d sigh apologetically. “Yeah I know, maybe I should have stopped a quarter of the way down the bottle like I told myself to.” She nodded firmly as if to agree with the statement. “Damn right you should have, you gotta get home and lay down.” Again Noel nodded, this time more softly before she turned down a hall that seemed familiar… then again Noel wasn’t all that certain what was familiar and what wasn’t at the moment. “Ah, here we are.”

She’d smile lightly as she stopped in front of a door she was convinced would lead her into her modest apartment so she could lay down and sleep off the haze residing in her mind. But as Noel reached for the door, she was surprised not only to find it unlocked but also to find her apartment was much larger and more comfortable then it had been when she had left it this morning. “I don’t think this is my house.” She muttered the obvious statement and despite the knowledge swimming in her head Noel opened the door wider and stepped inside to survey her surroundings. This place was much nicer then her own, seemingly much neater too and Noel would find herself nodding in approval as one palm pushed into the swell of one of her poked out hips, the other still clutched around the head of her whiskey bottle as her arm dangled limply at her side. It was not her home and she knew she shouldn’t be inside of it because of that little fact, but it was just so nice that Noel couldn’t help but take a little peak around.

“Just a peak and I’ll take my leave.” She’d tell herself softly before she moved to explore the apartment. The first things that caught the attention of her beautiful eyes were the mahogany double doors set straight ahead of her and Noel would approach them silently, having left her flip-flops behind just in case someone happened to be in the apartment, she didn’t want to be caught, after all, she was trespassing. As quietly as she could, Noel would curl the fingers of a hand around one doors handle and creak it open to let her head poke inside to regard whatever room she would find if she happened to go unnoticed. Not much to Noel’s surprise what she had found was a bedroom, but to the young woman’s sudden burst of shock from the unexpected she spotted a man sitting up on a bed, leaning against the wall and curled around a rifle. Quickly Noel began to duck back, not wanting to alert the (presumably) sleeping man and have him awaken to blow her brains out with that piece of weaponry in his hands.

But Noel would suddenly pause, staying still for a moment before she poked her head back in to look the snoozing man over. There was nothing particularly special about him; he was attractive in his own right and he looked young and fit but not in a way that would turn the head of every female he past. Yet something about the young man, something about the way he sat up like that curled around his gun caught Noel’s attention and drew her into the room and it was as she moved to push the door open that she would discover what it was. That look, that peaceful yet exhausted look upon his face was one Noel knew because it was one she had had many times in the past; though she didn’t know to what the extent she could tell with just one look at his face, for she had saw that expression on her own so many times before, that this man was contemplating eating one of the bullets of the rifle he held. She did not know this young man, though his face did seem vaguely familiar, she had no reason to care if he lived or died yet Noel couldn’t make herself turn away and instead she would move into the room and approach the bed. If her presence went unnoticed, Noel would come to stand beside the bed and move to quietly place down her bottle before she leaned down to come face to face with the sleeping man.

For a long moment she stared at him, trying not to breathe too hard for fear she would stir him or send him into a panic or worse, disturb him. He really did look so peaceful and for a moment Noel felt guilty because of the way her hand lifted and attempted to bring her soft fingertips gently against his forehead. If he did not stir and made no unconscious movement to stop her, her fingertips would glide along his forehead, stroking it gently to move strands of his hair from it in a comforting gesture. She was mindful, her touch a mere feather-like whisper against his flesh as she tilted her head and stared at him with those hypnotic pools of gold that were her eyes, waving strands of her long hair brushing against the sides of her lovely face. She looked like an angel, and in a sense Noel imagined she was his angel for as long as she was there he would not be permitted to fulfill whatever violent desires he had towards himself. “You look very peaceful like this kid.”

She’d comment to him in a sweet whisper that was as soft as her touch upon his skin, licking and caressing at his eardrums with her beautiful sing-song voice. She had called him kid for although he did not look much younger then her, she suspected that he was and Noel had a tendency to call everyone younger then her ‘kid’ “But I think you should get up now. Will you do that for me?” She asked him, her voice remaining soft so as not to startle him, her eyes focused as they peered at his face with innocent curiosity and hopefulness as she prayed her presence would not send him into a frenzy.

In his dreams, many events were occurring at once. While he slept peaceful on the outside, he was slowly disturbed as the events grew on. He watched repeatedly as he shot his friend, but not in first person approach like he normally would. But as a third person in a movie theater, sitting next to a skinned bunny rabbit and a deranged old man on his other side. He took no real notice to the two sitting next to him, as his eyes watched the reel repeat itself over and over. He was trying to look at the movie, examining his facial features. Even as the movie was film grained, he could easily tell that his smile was getting wider with each passing time he shot johnny in the forehead. He just did not understand why he was so happy with shooting his pistol. Was he that overjoyed to see another man die? Why was it that he could not move from his chair and go off somewhere else? Slowly trying to sit up, he felt two hands press him back down into his chair. One was the old man, who was surprisingly strong for his old age, the other was the skinned rabbit who chirped in disgust on why Riley would leave his seat. The rabbit's gaze was similar to that of a movie patron that was annoyed when people moved in front of him to goto the bathroom.

So instead he decided to sit down and watch the damn movie, popcorn being flung into his lap by the old man. Watching the event unfold, his character on the movie screen began to chuckle louder with each passing moment.. teeth lashing out as his skin started to pale. Riley slowly realized that this was not him anymore on the screen, but something else. The gangrene features slowly appearing on his cheeks. Dried blood caked his lips as Riley slowly realized that the man holding the gun, shooting the zed Johnny, was now a zed that was attacking the normal Johnny while he worked on the power supply. Trying to get it to work. As the zed sunk his flesh into Johnny's ankle, as the virus coursed through his veins. Johnny buckled and was overcome by that one zed, Riley as a zed, and took a neat chunk out of the man's stomach...

Riley immediately tried to bolt up out of his chair, yelling at the screen. This was not true, how does the old bastard succumb like that. This is supposed to be a dream! How the hell, why the hell- Looking around, he saw the room was not as empty as he imagined before. The zeds were everywhere, lurking around each corner... piling out of all the doors. The sprinters were on him first, and instinctively Riley reached for his weapon and began to fire hot lead into the approaching creatures. He was surrounded, crawling over the seats... coming through the aisles, rushing the stands. He was cut off with little or no way out. Immediately Riley grunted as the weapon clicked dry, the slide pulled back and open. Waiting for a fresh magazine. Riley went to his gunbelt to find one... that was not there. The old man and the skinned rabbit sat there, eyes wide and waiting for the inevitable. Riley's head hung low, a hand shifting under his shirt for his last bullet. His last chance of saving his own humanity. As he reached for it, he grasped a hand across the dog tags that laid across his neck. Johnny's dog tags. "Where the hell is my last bullet!" Riley cried out as he read the changing inscription on the cheap sheet metal. As the zeds got closer, he was able to read off the inscription to himself. "Your life is not worthless... try to survive." As Riley examined the dog tags, he felt a rough hand scratch him across his forehead. That hand dragged him down into the abyss. He felt the gnashing of teeth as he felt those fleshy claws take over him.

He awoke with a start coming upright, nearly hitting his head across the new comer. He panted heavily, his eyes gaping wide. His peaceful sleep turned in a hellish nightmare in a matter of seconds. Clutching his chest, he searched frantically for the indentions he was looking for. There he found it, the last bullet he had around his neck. A heavy sigh escaped his lips, finding his security once more as the dog tags jiggled happily against his damp chest. Turning his head, he caught the eyes of a rather curious woman. For a moment, he just gazed, his eyes still filled with sleep and drowsiness. There he read her eyes, trying to figure out what her motive was to being next to his bed. His mind went to other reasons, possibly he had gotten drunk and slept with her. He could smell a hint of alcohol coming off her lips, nevertheless his head was not racking with a migraine like it would be if he was drunk.

Closing his eyes momentarily, he looked away. He was too overly shocked to respond to the new situation at the present time. Millions of questions still rambled into his head, wondering why that dream felt so realistically painful. Was it a reminder? Some kind of spiritual message? What the hell else was it? As his hands were still clutching the rifle to his chest, he finally turned his head towards the rather cute female. Although he could still smell the alcohol, her perfume or natural scent seemed to slowly wash over that smell pretty quickly. He was caught into another gazing competition once more. "Who are you?" His breathing calmed down, he could slowly focus on the situation at hand. Was she... touching him in his sleep. He could feel warm imprints across his forehead where her touch might of been. This eased him somewhat to her random occurrence. Maybe she was not some crazy female trying to kill him in his sleep. Nevertheless, he could not help but feel that motherly aura washing out of her entire form. It was as if he was with his mother after a child nightmare, trying to cling to her close so he could stop crying. Shaking his mind away from the thoughts, he tried to contemplate the situation at hand. "And... how did you get in?" It was asked plain as day, with no aggression or annoyance in his voice. He was just curious to see why she had chose his room...

Running at full sprint for a while, her legs and lungs burned. She hadn't ran like that since she was younger. Stopping and doubling over Yuri breathed deeply. She was happy Riley had proved himself by getting the power on. "Maybe he found Jonnie too." She knew he was responsible for the power. Well one of them. Something told her it was Riley though. She willed her legs forward once again and made it across the last hundred yards to the building.

Pushing the doors open Yuri stopped. Her eyes took in the surroundings and all the lights and sounds of the tower. It was like walking into Vegas. Her mind went back to the business at hand and she walked over towards the stairs still catching her breath. Thinking about the fact the power was back on so should be the elevators. Changing directions she pressed the up button. The white numbers started flashing and dropping. It would be a while. The elevator was still up around twenty. Yuri tapped her foot and waited. The doors finally slide open with a ding to mark it's arrival. Her first intention was to run. Green eyes laying upon the all the blood and the big hole in the roof of the elevator. She decided against using it.

Yuri turned on her heels and walked back to the stairs. She pushed open the door to the cool area of concrete in the soul itself of the building. Taking her first steps she stopped thinking. Shaking her head she ran up as quick as she could. Taking two steps when she could. Ten floors she thought to herself. As the steps went she counted the number of floors she was climbing. Taking a break about half way up she started walking up the stairs. Running up them was wearing her out. "Two more floors." She spoke trying to will herself on. Making it the tenth floor she pushed open the doors and walked out. Yuri strolled down the hall at a fast walk. Seeing Riley's door she knocked a few times and tried the handle. It turned and she pushed speaking at the same time. "Riley! I knew you.....oh." Yuri's face contorted just a bit as she looked on to the woman's figure by his bed. Turning her head toward the woman she pushed the shocked look from her face and spoke friendly. "Hi." Looking back to Riley she spoke again. "I see you have company. I'll see you later." Yuri turned quickly on her heels and turned walking out the door and down the hall to her own room. She pushed her door shut and sat on her bed laying back and closing her eyes. Not wanting to think anymore about anything. She wished sleep would just pour over her.

For all the trying she did to keep the image of the scene she just saw out of her head she couldn't. Her mind said to go back there and find out just what was going on. But that would only show that she had a crush on him. She felt like a school girl again. Having a crush on some boy and getting jealous when another girl talks to him. She leaned up and made her body rise again. Taking a step forward she walked back down the hall to Riley's room. Pushing the door open without knocking this time she stood in the doorway. "Just what is going on here? Riley I came running here to congratulate you on getting the power on and probably saving us all and I find you in your room with her." She pointed at the girl like the evil monkey from Family Guy. "Did you even do it? Did you get the power on or am I thanking the wrong damn person?" Yuri noticed the bottle of whiskey and got madder. "Did you even really go to find Jonnie? I don't see him here." Her voice showed a hint of hurt and anger and at the same time sounding as if she was trying to control all of the emotions she felt.

It was a strange situation to wake up to, to say the least. Though his face seemed vaguely familiar, as if she knew him from somewhere in some memory she could not quite grasp at the moment, Noel did not know this boy and certainly he did not know her, at least not outside of possible rumors he might have heard. Yet despite that here she was in his bedroom, watching him as he slept and waiting for him to get up and talk to her. It was a bizarre scene indeed; normal people did not barge into other peoples homes uninvited and wake them from their slumber just so they could talk them out of what might or might not be going on in their head, but no one could ever claim that Noel was normal and those who did obviously didn’t know her very well. Sure the thought that she should just mind her own business and leave the young man be to wallow in whatever bit of self-misery might be plaguing him, Noel had her own problems after all and didn’t particularly need anything added onto them by a strange boy that was nothing to her but a slightly noticeable face. But Noel just couldn’t bring herself to leave the side of this stranger’s bed, especially when she noticed the shift in his demeanor as he slept.

He was having a nightmare, that much was very obvious to the young woman, though what it was about Noel could not say without being a mind-reader and she certainly possessed no power of the sort. Her lush lips would set into a deep frown as she watched the young man flinch and grimace in his sleep, her fingers continuing to stroke along his forehead. “Wake up kid.” She’d say softly to him and as if upon command he’d jolt forward, nearly butting heads with Noel who pulled back quickly, putting the skilled reflexes she had gained from all those years as a gymnast to good use. She’d pull back into a standing position, her head tilting to the side as she regarded the young man, her hands coming to rest at either of her shapely hips. As he fought to regain his composure and force the obvious panic his dream had set into his mind to disperse, Noel would watch him closely, surveying him with those dazzling golden eyes.

A hand would rise to allow her fingers to shift loose strands of those soft dirty blonde curls behind her ear just as the male turned his head to regard Noel and his question made her bite lightly at her lower lip. His question had not caught her off guard, in fact Noel had fully expected it or one like it, she was a strange woman in his bedroom after all.“I’m Noel, Noel Angel Stanton.” She would offer in reply, her tone remaining soft and ever-as-sweet as if the young man was still asleep in front of her. His next question however did cause for a bit of uneasiness on Noel’s part and she would give an awkward little smile accompanied with a chuckle as she reached up to run her fingers through her silky strands. “Well… your door was unlocked and I mistook your place for mine.”

Noel would offer as an explanation before she gave a shrug and another awkward little chuckle. “I was going to leave as soon as I realized I was in the wrong apartment, but yours is just so much nicer then mine I couldn’t help but take a look around.” She continued as she gestured with her arms to all that lay around them, his living quarters were truly unlike any Noel had ever seen in Sagaku towers… then again, Noel had never been in any apartment except her own. She had no living family and most people that knew her were scared off when they witnessed what she was like when having one of her ‘episodes’, so most of Noel’s time was spent in her own apartment with only her thoughts for company. “Then I found you sleeping here and well I-“ But whatever further explanation Noel was about to give was cut off as quite suddenly the doors were thrust open and another female appeared on the scene.

Noel would look at the other female curiously, eyebrows knitting together as she tilted her head to the side and regarded the young girl; she seemed excited about something, her pretty face brisk and alight. But that giddy expression was thwarted once the girl looked Noel’s way and it didn’t exactly take a genius to figure out why the other female was so obviously, despite her attempt at being friendly, displeased with Noel’s presence; instantly Noel came to the conclusion that this girl was either this boy’s girlfriend or she had a crush on him. Whichever it was Noel was certain of one thing; she had just gotten herself involved in a whole mess of drama. Her lips would part, attempting to explain to the other girl that this most certainly wasn’t what it looked like but before she could even speak the girl was departing, leaving Noel to stare off at her dumbfounded. “Friend of yours?” Noel would pose the words as a question as she turned her attention back on the young man, her thumb jutted out and gesturing toward where the female once stood.

“Sorry if I got you into some sort of trouble.” Noel would say before biting at her lower lip and shifting her weight awkwardly in her flip-flops. “I didn’t mean to cause any problems for you, the only reason I stayed is ‘cause I-“ But once again Noel’s words were interrupted as yet again the girl was in the doorway, this time making her presence known with a bit of misplaced aggression. Noel could understand the girl’s anger and hurt, she really could but at the moment the way the girl exploded like some sort of jealous schoolgirl did nothing but aggravate Noel who would roll her eyes back toward the young man who she was only trying to help to watch his reaction. But before the young man could jump to his own defense Noel was there, her head snapping to attention with curiosity.

“Jonnie… was that his name, the guy who owned this gun?” She’d question in that gentle tone as she attempted to reach her hand out and touch the piece of weaponry the young man, whose name was apparently Riley, held. 2 How exactly she came to such a conclusion was left as a mystery for the moment because regardless of whether or not she was allowed to touch the weapon, Noel’s attention would once again turn to the young woman in the door. “Look, I don’t know exactly what you think is going on here but if it’s making you act like this I know whatever you're thinking is wrong.” Noel would offer, her voice neither defensive nor apologetic, simply casual as she spoke to the other female. “He doesn’t know me and I don’t know him; he didn’t invite me into his apartment, I barged in and found him sleeping.”

She looked away from the girl, back to Riley and offered him a light, understanding smile as she gave a tilt of her head and shifted her wavy hair from her pretty eyes. “He looked really peaceful, like a child…” she chuckled slightly, her tone once again soft. “So I decided to watch him sleep for a bit.” She shrugged before turning her head to look the girl’s way once more, her tone reverting to that matter-of-fact air as she spoke to the other female. “So before you continue to jump to incorrect conclusions and make a complete ass of yourself maybe you should ask this young man whom you seem to care so much about why he is thinking about blowing his brains out with his friend’s weapon.”

She’d look back to the young man and once again flashed that soft smile of hers his way before she grabbed up her bottle of whiskey and offered it out to him, acting as if the fact that she knew what was going through his mind was completely natural. “Now then, getting back to what I initially intended; I’d like you to have a drink with me and if you want you can share why you feel the nozzle of that gun looks so tasty at the moment or you could just drink until you pass out. But staining your nice sheets with your blood is currently not an option so what do you say?” She grinned and gave the bottle a little shake to stir up the brown liquid it contained. Being discreet and beating around the bush was not an option anymore, especially since Noel was fairly certain the other girl’s words had hit the young man in all the wrong ways.

Rubbing the sleep out of his eyes like a 5 year old child, a long yawn escaped his lips. The day was so blurry and full of conceit. Why the hell did his eyes fill so rough, red around the edges. Had he been crying? In his sleep, had he been crying? Shaking the thoughts away momentarily, he turned to the rather beautifully filled woman who sat down before him. She was rather calm throughout the entire situation. As much as he wanted to will his body to a more dramatic reaction, he slowly realized what he was holding Johnny's weapon. The thought craved itself around the edges of his soul. Wasn't he contemplating on something disastrous earlier? The thought washed over his mind, an ever clear of deceit and sorrow. Turning to the woman who sat before him, he watched those angelic hues across her cheeks with a light smile. She was a fairly beautiful woman. Even though he could tell she was at least in her early twenties, her demeanor was that of an older woman. Aged like a fine wine that especially matched the tone of her perfectly proportioned body. The thoughts of what he was planning earlier slipped away through his fingers. “I’m Noel, Noel Angel Stanton.” He gave a polite nod of affection, rather curious of the woman sitting before him. "I am Riley, Riley Simmons." He was never given a middle name, hell even he did not know it.

“Well… your door was unlocked and I mistook your place for mine.” He would give a light chuckle, a hint on the hysterical side, and slapped himself on the face. "Damn, well there goes my survival. A damn meat locker could of walked in and took my ass out when I was asleep. Well hell, death in a person's sleep sounds wonderful in this day and age..." His eyes glazed over, slowly remembering there was something fishy with the AK-47. What did he do, that made him rather nervous to be holding it without performing the routine checks? Listening to her story on why she did it, he turned his head instinctively towards the door... his hand reaching for the handgun on his dresser. Pointing it towards the door, he watched the door shove open as Yuri proclaimed. "Riley! I knew you.....oh." Scratching the back of his head, he examined the weapon and put it away. "Sorry about that, you scared me shit less Yuri. What seems to be the probl-" Cut off almost immediately, he watched her misunderstand the entire situation and rush out the door with a mighty thud.

A small silence protruded the room as Riley merely shook his head, holding a hand up in front of her. "It's quite alright. Shes a friend, so do not worry, I will deal with her in a bit..." He just did not have the energy to chase off after her for the moment. He still felt drained from all the sorrow built up inside of him. He felt like a hollow shell that wanted to be filled with ever that was in his surroundings. His eyes drifted towards the weapon in his hand, his eyes darting to the weapon's slide. What was it that made him so uncomfortable. The magazine was out, so it should not be loaded. As he listened to the sweet but maple syrup voice of Noel, he could not help but let a heavy sigh escape his lips. "Noel, there are a helluvah lot of things that are more fucked up in the world right now. To be honest... those words are more comforting than you realize to be creepy." A gentle contemplating smile spread across his lips. He just did not want to hear her complain over something so trivial in his mind. "You are quite alright..." A wink was all he was able to manage, before Yuri bursts into the room once more.

"Hey Yuri, whats up?" He says with a lack of energy, there was obviously something wrong with him. He felt as if the darkness that had built up had left, a hollow shell once more. Yuri's immediate accusations barely stung in the beginning. He could understand her misinterpretation, no matter how trivial, in this situation. Shaking his head, he answered the first row of questions with a light sigh. "She just arrived. I have been asleep the entire time. Please don't take it that way." Once more, he lacked the energy he held before. Straight forward and to the point. "Did you even really go to find Jonnie? I don't see him here." The last comment stung hard and to the core. His eyes squinted shut, tearing welling up. He immediately remembered what he was planning on doing with the weapon, the gun slowly shaking as he held it in his grasp. He was on the verge of pulling the trigger. He already knew it, but he felt madder than hell to her last comment.

Before he could speak, before he could retort, before he as willing to pull that trigger... a strawberry whisper crossed along his mind. “Jonnie… was that his name, the guy who owned this gun?” He snapped back to his senses, as the words from the dream drifted along across his mind. Survive. The dog tags fell from his neck, jingling. The marine dog tags that Johnny wore. Clutching the dog tags in his hand, he squinted his eyes shut as he said it. "This is- was, Johnny's weapon. He won't be needing it where he is now." A calm silence shook the room, as Riley's stifled breathing continued to escape his lips. Then she said a few more things that did not register exactly into his mind. He just did not want to think anymore, he just wanted to be left alone.

Then the jingle of the whiskey was waved across his head, and the beautiful woman said her last words. Glancing at his weapon that he held in his hands, a light sigh escaped his lips. There was still some good in this world, no matter how he looked at it. Picking up the rifle, he gave a moment examining the fine craftsmanship. It was a work of art, AK-47 custom. Showing that the banana clip was missing, he pulled back the slide as one AK-47 round fell from the grasp and onto the floor... the weapon was obviously loaded. One bullet in the chamber. For what matter or another, no one would never fully know. Shaking the quirkiness from his eyes, he coughed lightly to interrupt before their quarrel went into the wrong direction. "I would like to share a drink with you, Ms. Noel." A light smile spread across his lips. Slowly getting off the bed, he laid the weapon askew onto the wall nearby. He would seriously need to clean it later. Turning to Yuri, a light smile spread across his lips. "Can you do me a favor and save me a few minutes before you ask more questions. I would like to curb the edge off my mind with a dash of alcohol. You should join us if you like." Walking over to the mini bar, he looked around the cabinets for anything they could use. "I know you have jack, but this place also has some capt morgan and... wow, its french but it sounds tasty.." Pulling out three shot glasses, he smacked them hard against the table.

Yuri furred her brow slightly as she listened to the words the girl spoke. The first thing that hit Yuri from Noel's words was the use of past tense. Like being hit with a freight train, she knew. She knew Jonnie was dead. Her heart dropped and instantly she felt bad from her words. She had over reacted and she knew it. Yuri just stood there for a second watching the new scene unfold before her. She saw Riley's face change and knew that it was confirmed. Her expression changed to a embarressed look of shame and sorrow all in one. She was hurt by her own words. She stayed for the barrage of words that now fell on lost ears.

Yuri looked over to Riley as he spoke about drinking with them and she just looked at him. Not saying a word. Her facial expression showed all she needed it to. She was truly sorry and had nothing to say. She just turned and walked out her head held low. Any words that befell her still fell upon dead ears. She shut the door gently and walked to her room. She walked in and sat on the bed. Her hands moved up and picked up the picture of her parents. Speaking softly she looked in deeply. "I wish you guys were still here. I could use some advice daddy. I know you would have made it." A tear fell landing on the glass of the picture frame.

She laid down and pulled the blankets up around her and shut her eyes. Visions of things never to come again. She looked back to when she was young in Okinawa. Things were so easier then. She hadn't felt friendship since the accident. Now she called someone a friend and she acted stupid. The visions shifted to her being alone again. A mere child standing over a wrecked car crying. She opened her eyes and tears streamed down her cheeks. She wanted to go back and make amends but she felt maybe it'd be better to let him come to her. If she was him she'd probably not want to see the other person. She lay there looking at the celing.

Cleaver climbed the stairwell rapidly, he had a long ways to go before he could sleep and a short time to git there. About halfway up he rolled himself a cigarette and began poking around a dresser that was on the landing.

In the last drawer he found a 20 gague browning shotgun which he took, sighting down the barrel expertly before bring a rag out and dusting it off. Taking his med kit he broke a fishoil pill open and used it to oil the action of the gun. Reaching into the drawer again he found 1 full package of shells and another half full one. In a halfpack he found a couple slugs which he place into his pocket. Taking the sling off his bat he Banged the banister 3 times loudly, letting any humans in the building know he was there. He preferred NOT getting shot at this time and he had seen that Yurianna character head this way.

He laughed to himself remembering how trigger happy and tense she had seemed. Placing the sling on his shotgun he dropped the bat letting it bounce loudly down the stairwell before slinging the gun to his back. Satisfyed he began his trek up the rest of the stairs.

Reaching the roof Cleaver pulled the loose end of the knott releasing the slipknott above him. Quickly he untied the hook he had made and began winding the rope around his waste again. "My good rope" he muttered, "And I almost forgot it!" He decided to spend the day inside the tower, hopefully getting some sleep so he headed back intio the building. about where he found the shotgun he began exploring floors. One was like a diner but two floors below that was one that had apartments in it. "Ooooh, any rooms for rent?" he called out in jest. he began searching rooms, and almost opening one he heard voices in it and moved on. One of the voices had sounded like Riley so he was glad the man was alright. He walked down a few doors and opened a door, entering the room he found some affects, as if someone was living there so we went to the next room.

He took note that the door had metal numbers spelling out 118 on it. It was empty except for the bed and buerau, which Cleaver dumped his pack into. Going to the sink Cleaver tryed it and sure enough there was runnign water. "Awsome!" he exclaimed loudly. He ran cold water in the bath then threw the coon in the laughing as the coon splashed around happily. Stripping Cleaver began washing his clothes in the tub before leaving them hanging on the banister of the porch to dry.

Bored Cleaver took out his Leatherman tool knife and opening the file blade began cutting the barrel of his new gun about 3 inches past the woodstock. After 45 minutes and 3 blood blisters the job was completed to his satisfaction.

Pidgeons were all over the banisters and firing once he killed 5, 2 of which fell onto the porch the others fell to the ground far below. "Yeeeeehaw Ike! Whatcha say to fresh meat today buddy?" Pulling a knife he quickle cleaned the two birds and lighting a fire on the porch began slowroasting them both. The coon sat attentively by his side eying the meat hungrilly and when the birds were done cooking Cleaver handed him one and began gnawing on the other hungrily.

Being still naked Cleaver left the porche and went in, his stomache full. Filling his canteen at the sink Cleaver flopped into the bed and began rummaging through the nightstand next to the bed. He had another surprize, someone had left a beutifull .38 revolving single action in the drawer, and Ceaver took it out, spinning its action playfully before rolling over and curling into a sleep, the coon sleeping on the pillow next to his head.

Forgotten was the open door to the hallway, and forgotten were the cares of the life he led, he slept....

It was not in Noel’s nature to be rude, brutally honest yes, but she was generally a very passive woman, a personality trait that had earned her a lot of grief in the police academy. She was not one for confrontation because frankly one had to put a lot of effort into arguing or debating and Noel was far too lazy to put so much effort into something as trivial as stressing her point, whatever it may be. But this situation was different; this young man was distraught in his own right and had more trying things to worry about then to deal with an unnecessarily jealous female. So of course Noel would come to his defense against the other girl, after all, even though she didn’t know this man she certainly didn’t want him to lunge over the edge and do something he might regret in the afterlife, especially if there was a chance she could talk him out of it. So although she felt bad for the other female who quite obviously regretted the way she had flew off the handle and made unfair assumptions Noel’s mind was more focused on the boy before her that had called himself Riley. He seemed much more stable then Noel had initially assumed he would be and for that she was grateful.

Still, she imagined that at the moment he would still appreciate some company and she was more then willing to offer herself to the position of drinking buddy for as long as he needed… or at least until he passed out. But Noel’s golden eyes would shift away from Riley who was rummaging around his mini-bar toward the other female who he had called Yuri as she still stood in the doorway looking very ashamed of herself. Noel’s plump tiers would form into a light frown as pearly teeth came to grip the lower one, her eyes watching the girl who made her departure with her head hung low and her tail between her legs… metaphorically speaking. Again Noel felt rather bad for the girl, after all, it wasn’t exactly her fault she had come to the wrong conclusion and in fact it was rather understandable, this situation could indeed suggest such things. But sparing Yuri’s feelings didn’t exactly take top priority in Noel’s mind and as the other female left Noel would look toward Riley and give a sympathetic little smile toward the male. She wasn’t trying to pity him, finding that most people in these times didn’t take well to pity; she was simply trying to be as friendly and gentle with the young man as she could.

“I guess it’s just you and me eh kid?” Her smile would brighten and she lifted her bottle of whiskey to twist off the top which she would slide into the pockets of the loose jeans that hung on her shapely hips painted over with the black spandex fabric of her leotard. “I think I’ll stick to my own stash if it’s all the same to you.” She’d reply as she took a long swig from her bottle, smacking her lush lips with a sigh before she licked them and offered Riley that soft radiant smile of hers that made her honey-colored eyes twinkle brilliantly. “Mind if I sit down?” She’d ask casually and not even bothering to wait for an answer she would cross her ankles and allow her knees to buckle under her weight and send her rocketing to the curve of her rear onto the floor.

She moved with a quick sort of cat-like grace and despite the speed with which she went down the support of her free hand pressing her palm into the floor cushioned her fall to let her rear only bump lightly on the ground. Her curly dirty-blonde hair which had been sent flying in the process of her skilled movement settled about her shoulders and face like a silky gold veil that framed those beautiful features as she smiled up at the boy. The bottle she held that contained that brown swishing liquid would come to rest between her thighs as her legs uncurled and stretched out lazily to straighten and spread easily as she leaned her back comfortably against the edge of Riley’s bed. She looked right at home and though her behavior could be perceived as a bit rude Noel didn’t seem to take much notice or care and only smiled sweetly in that young man’s general direction.

Sorting through the mess in the mini bar, a light sigh escaped his lips. "Damn there is nothing really here to drink that can be taken straight without some kind of horrid relapse..." Examining 80 proof plus alcohols, he managed to find several rum style bottles and a few things of gin. Crossing those off the list of drinkable possibilities, a light sigh escaped his lips. What the hell was up with rich people and gin. He believed gin+tonics or martinis were the worst drinks he would ever taste on the face of this earth. They tasted bad going in, they burned all the way down the throat, and they always had a horrid aftertaste. As his mind raced to start chucking the unnecessary alcohol, in his mind, out the window... he turned to see Yuri staring at him with a solemn look on her face. Finding a bottle of greygoose vodka, he held it in his hand with a light smile over his face. "Hey Yuri, I find something that will go down easy..." Showing her a bottle of the rich vodka, he would only glance over to witness her rapid escape once more.

As the door shut gently behind her, he stood there flabbergast with complete confusion about the whole situation. He let her little horrid assumption get by without showing a word of regret, giving her a friendly smile when she entered, and hell pretended her little even never happened. Nevertheless, in his time of need he was slapped across the face with a light grace of a back hand. Although it did not hurt physically, metaphorically speaking, it caused his pride to take a light blow in the weakest points of his soul. Once more, the images of Johnny flooded into his mind. That same dream showing the scales of dried flesh and bone jutting from various openings in his skin. Riley knew that image would be plastered on the back of his mind for the next several weeks at hand...

Calmly, he shut his eyes and tried to push it from his mind, clutching the alcohol in his hand. As he tried to push those thoughts out of his mind, he could hear the soft moans of the zeds outside the building. A constant reminder that the building they were in was only safer, never safe. “I guess it’s just you and me eh kid?” He was snapped from his thoughts, standing there idly he noticed his fingers were tight around the bottle of grey goose. His fingers shook as the bottle continued to slosh lightly in his hands. Tilting his head towards Noel, he finally accepted the sheer fact that he needed a moment to relax. It was always run-run-run.... this was one of the rare opportunities in this new life he had a chance to slow down. What he took for granted everyday, he finally had a chance to accept now in this barren world of death.

Turning his head towards the door, a light forgiving sigh escaped his lips. He just could not help Yuri at the moment. Like others facing this world in crisis, he had to consult his own inner demons. If he were to walk in there right now, he would be an everlasting hypocrite. There were only a few options he could chose from if he went to help Yuri through her mess, all of which would lead down a road he was not mentally prepared to face the aftermath. Damn his mind, he was always thinking too many steps ahead. He glanced back to Noel, a light smirk on his lips. “Mind if I sit down?” A nod was given to her. "Sure, feel free."

Watching her plop down, he walked beside her and sat down comfortably. Letting his right leg stretch out comfortably, his left leg curled up towards her. Unscrewing the bottle for the grey goose, he immediately took a hard sip of the substance. Wincing from the alcoholic euphoria, he shook his cheeks with a light hacking chuckle. Damn, this shit hit hard. A silence proceeded the room as the two would only look at each other and take drinks, making Riley feel subconscious. Finally, Riley gave up and let a small set of words flow from his lips. "Where are you from Noel?" Well, small talk number one was asked. "I mean.. before all of this shit happened." Another loud sip echoed from his lips as he took a longer draugh, trying his best to get to buzz zone.

Having started drinking earlier that afternoon, as had become her habit ever since the city fell into what she liked to think were the depths of hell, Noel was feeling quite a buzz already. After all, one did not drink half a bottle of Jack Daniel’s whiskey without feeling at least a buzz if not totally sloshed. But Noel was only tipsy, not the least bit drunk and disoriented… not yet anyway, she needed a few more good sips and then she’d be flying high, taking this man beside her along for the ride, lord knew he needed it. Though her mind was in a light fog, Noel’s perception didn’t seem the least bit faulty and so she had picked up on Riley’s sudden change in demeanor when Yuri had taken her second leave out of his apartment and though she had taken note of it Noel would give no indication that she had noticed. 4 The young man needed to relax and let off some steam with a few glasses of alcohol, he didn’t need Noel doting on and pitying him every time he turned around, at least Noel didn’t think so. 5 Though that could have been her comparing herself too much with Riley and assuming he was like her; Noel despised pity, she absolutely hated it and never appreciated receiving it and so she tried her hardest not to give it to anyone else unless it was truly needed.

So Noel would say nothing more to Riley for the time being, simply lifting her bottle up to her lush lips which formed around the head to welcome the bitter brown liquid that spilled from it and assaulted her tongue repeatedly. Whiskey was by no accounts a drink one drank because they liked the taste of it, or at least Noel certainly didn’t enjoy the fowl tasting alcohol; she drank it to remain numb and indifferent to this harsh world she now lived in and it had yet to fail her so she continued to offend her taste buds with it on a nearly daily basis. Some would call it alcoholism, Noel just called it dealing with life as she now knew it and maybe that wouldn’t have been an acceptable answer before, but given the current situation and the current threat of death she was constantly faced and surrounded by she figured it was damn well acceptable. Silence surrounded her and Riley, and where the young man might have felt awkward Noel felt very at easy with the silence that stretched between them; if he didn’t want to talk that was fine and dandy with her and she certainly had nothing to say outside of ‘Shit, why don’t I have a hot tub in my apartment?’ and she figured that was rather inappropriate given the circumstances. Besides, Noel was used to drinking alone because usually she was alone so silence didn’t particularly bother her because it was what constantly lay over her, unless she started talking to herself which was not uncommon for the just slightly unhinged young woman. Moving to take yet another sip of whiskey, letting her head swim slightly, she would shift her dazzling honey-colored eyes the man’s way.

His question gave Noel pause as she grimaced and smacked her luscious lips as if to berate her whiskey for tasting so badly as she set it down between her spread legs once more. The pause grew as Noel remained silent, her pretty eyes having shifted to watch the black painted nails of her toes as they wriggled freely in her flip-flops. “When I was younger I lived in the suburbs just outside the city with my father and my twin sister Angel.” Noel would offer as her reply as she rose her head slightly, her slender fingers wrapped around the neck of her bottle as her thumbs toyed with the rounded opening. The movement of her head caused her curly blonde locks to shift, falling over her shoulder to caress along the side of her cheek and down along the rounded side of her chest. “Then when my father died my sister and I moved into the orphanage there until we graduated high school and moved to the city while we attended the police academy. I’ve lived in this city ever since then.”

Noel would finish as she lifted her bottle and took another sip of the dark liquid it contained, her golden eyes dazing with memories and the affects of alcohol as they shifted to look toward Riley. “How about you?” She’d ask him, cradling her bottle between her thighs as she tilted her head back to rest it on the edge of his bed, her head still turned to him so her hazy eyes could remain upon him as locks of her dirty blonde curls fell to smooth over her fair cheeks.

Hearing Noel smack her lips gave him a sense he was a bit too forward of the question. It was not as if everyone did not have a horrid back story of what happened in the prevailing weeks. Most, if not all of the survivors, had lost some kind of family member to the massacre. Riley was inwardly lucky, in some form, since he had no extended family here in the city. His mother died in a car crash years before, uncles, aunts, cousins, grandmothers, and grandfathers were stretched from miles around the country. He was only in contact with one uncle, who sent him some cash to help along they way since his mother died. It was a nice lifestyle that allowed Riley to live somewhat comfortably, but deep down he felt as if his father was behind sending him a bit more dough than just the child support his father continued to pay. Nevertheless, he was inwardly glad that his father was no sense of the word in the city. Riley had grown up around the fact that when push came to pull, he was stuck on his own. The thought of that allowed him to grow up more on the inside and hold that sense of maturity when he continued to live within his existence. Nevertheless, it was not as if he did not lose plenty of close friends as well. Some of which he had to end with his own hands....

Jolting his head back into reality, he heard that thick syrup voice spread him out of his subconscious once more. “When I was younger I lived in the suburbs just outside the city with my father and my twin sister Angel.” As much as he was glad that the silence was broken, it was as if he had caused a new problem than his lack of motivation to stir up something more than small talk. “Then when my father died my sister and I moved into the orphanage there until we graduated high school and moved to the city while we attended the police academy. I’ve lived in this city ever since then.” He gave a light nod to the sentence, slowly wondering about her twin sister. Gazing across her eyes, he could tell that she was not in the mood to talk any further unless he opened up a bit more. Besides, this situation was supposed to be a temporary mood reliever, not some kind of sap fest where they cry all over each other. They both want to feel safe... and he could read that easily from those honey hues that waited for his reply.

Taking another long swig from the Greygoose, he could tell his taste buds were slowly becoming numb. He could not taste the acidic blast of alcohol running down his throat anymore. Turning to see her gaze still upon his own, he closed his eyes lightly. Tilting his head towards the ceiling, he began his story. "There is not much to tell. I have lived alone for several years of my life. Due to some complications of divorce agreements, after the death of my mother at 16 I decided to live alone than to be accepted into the orphanage. I had a good life because of my mom's insurance policy, so I decided to live in the city for a while." Another swig of the container showed that he was making some way down the bottle, he was slowly feeling the numbness in his cheeks. "Worked on the side fixing computers and went to college. Simple stuff as that. Kept busy." A light sigh escaped his lips, his eyes continued to count the tiles on the ceiling. "From there, I was living in my college apartment when it hit. Met up with the others..." Trailing off, he canceled out saying their names by taking one more swig. "And here I am. Lots of dead zeds later. Lots of dead zed friends... lots of bullshit."

Falling silent next to her, he tilted his head to see he was alot closer to Noel than he realized. He could smell the light hints of perfume that washed over his nose. For some reason or another, he had a desire to reach out towards the warmth. Maybe he was being a too forward, but he could not help it. Those golden curls sparked a large desire inside of him. As his fingers slipped into her hair, he tries to caress her cheek. Instantly, he felt that he was being too forward and withdrew his hand only a second later. A light smile spread across his lips. "Sorry... the alcohol was making me a bit more friendly than I should be. I apologize." There was a hint of embarrassment in his voice, but he did not feel at all bad about his little move. She was pretty, he was clean at least, and they were alone. He could easily-he slapped himself openly on the head, making pain bring him back into reality. "Sorry about that, damn alcohol..." Corking the bottle, he placed it onto the floor and rolled it away from his grasp. Too friendly... damn it, Riley realized. Silence once more took over the room, since he was unable to speak after such a move and all those thoughts.

It took quite a bit of effort on another’s part to make Noel feel uncomfortable in any sense of the word and so if Riley had any indication he had struck a nerve with her he had certainly read this rather complex young woman wrong. There were horrible things in Noel’s past, even before this outbreak where ‘demons’ plagued the earth and tormented the living, that she’d rather keep packed away in the back of her mind and never have to face. But it wasn’t like she was the only one who had gone through hell and then was rewarded with hell, she knew that there were those around this city who had faced so much more then she had and that she wasn’t the only one quietly suffering on the inside and so Noel tried her best not to be sensitive about anything, especially about the past. It still hurt her, still tore her up inside so that every time Noel lifted her gun her hand would shake as her sister’s face, her face filled her mind, but she wasn’t going to sit and cry about it, at least not outside the privacy of her own apartment. Smacking her lips was just a habit of Noel’s, something she did when she drank or trailed off into thought, it wasn’t a sign that Riley’s question had bothered her because it hadn’t, not at all. She didn’t mind sharing a bit of her past with the young man, especially if it made him more comfortable around her and made it easier for him to open up to her.

Of course she’d stray from giving too much detail, there were some things that even a girl like Noel did not like to relive by discussing aloud, especially with someone she had only just met. When Riley began to speak Noel would continue to watch him, keeping her head turned and rested against the edge of the bed to let those dazzling golden brown eyes stare his way with curiosity and intensity. She gave him her full attention, wanting to give him no inclination that she didn’t care or wasn’t listening, though her gaze did break from him a few times as she took sips from her own bottle. It seemed with every sip Noel’s eyes were becoming more cloudy as her cheeks grew a faint red that flushed along her cheekbones and slowly grew darker. Curly locks of her dirty blonde hair hung about her face, falling across her cheeks and even into her eyes but Noel didn’t seem to care, she was obviously starting to feel quite good thanks to a bitter brown man named Jack. She offered a lazy little grin when Riley was finished saying his piece, her pretty face seeming to light up.

“Life’s a bitch, eh, kid?” She’d comment with a light chuckle, the comment made more in an attempt to loosen the mood then send it further down the gloomy road it seemed to be taking. Long lashes would flutter as lids fell closed to cover those sparkling light brown eyes that swam in a drunken little haze and Noel would let out a comfortable little sigh as she rested, her fingers still curled loosely around the neck of her bottle which rested on the floor at the outside of her thigh. With her eyes closed Noel did not see the hand Riley extended toward her, but she certainly felt the way his digits shifted through the thin layer of curled silk that hid her face to find her cheek and even though the touch was unexpected it didn’t even make Noel flinch. She simply lay there, as if she were sleeping, allowing Riley to touch his fingers against the soft flawless skin that encompassed her beautiful face before he suddenly pulled away. It was then that Noel’s eyes would flutter open, her golden brown eyes gazing Riley’s way as she lifted her head to regard the young man.

He was apologizing, apparently feeling very bad for invading her personal space, even going so far as to deny himself his alcohol. Her eyes would watch the bottle as it rolled along the floor before those hazy honey hues shifted to look back at him, her lush lips once again forming into that lazy little grin. Her free hand would lift in a manner as lazy as her grin and would reach toward Riley, attempting to gingerly slide her thumb up the side of his arm as her fingers would move to slide up the back and onto his shoulder to give it a reassuring little grip. Her touch was gentle, comforting, almost motherly as her fingertips brushed along his flesh and up over the clothe that covered it, if he would allow that is. Regardless of whether he permitted her to touch him, Noel would smile his way, her pretty eyes lighting up with the spectacle of her pretty little smile. “Don’t sweat it kid.”

She’d chuckle as she tried to offer a small pat to his shoulder. “I’ve had guys try to do a lot worse to me when drunk.” She laughed and gave a little shrug of her shoulders as if to signify her indifference to the whole thing as she lifted her bottle and held it up to him. “Want some of mine?” She’d ask with a little giggle as she gave a little shake of the bottle, letting the brown liquid swish around inside it. She was clearly trying to keep this moment as casual and friendly as possible, wanting to avoid making him uncomfortable by thinking she was uncomfortable in any way she could.

Letting a long sigh escape his lips, he allowed her to be the first to break the weary silence. “Don’t sweat it kid.” The kid part did sting his senses lightly, but he with-held it for now. Maybe it was just her way with coping with the situation; she had a sense of maturity that he was coming to rather enjoy. Nevertheless, looking across her casual demeanor he could tell she was more than meets the eye. She had something sinister hiding between the veils of her subconscious, something he was rather curious he would like to poke and prod at eventually. Maybe poking and prodding was a bad word for it, but he was curious. At first glance, he could tell she was rather interesting. She was being so sweet towards a complete stranger, he was kinda glad she walked in on him sleeping. It was possible that she just saved his life. Nah, maybe he was thinking too hard.

Although Johny's death was fresh on his mind, he could feel the alcohol slowly taking it's affect on his body. Light red hues rested across his cheeks. He could easily feel the tinge of the numbness in his fingers and face to the fullest extent now. He was plenty far gone from where he was originally planning to be, as dulling his senses was extremely dangerous. Nevertheless, he let his eyes closed momentarily... letting himself try to gain some control back over his body. He could feel his mind reaching the height of his stress limit, as sleep was somehow more luring than the bullet that was resting in that old AK-47. Sleep was the only man's escape from this world it seems. Maybe he will have some better dreams, once the alcohol got the best of him.

“Want some of mine?” Turning his head sheepishly in her direction, he caught sight of the brown luring liquid. It tingled his senses, he could already feel his taste buds forming around the sight of the whiskey. He was never a hard liquor drinker, this woman obviously had a tract of steel. Inwardly, he had to congratulate the beautiful woman. "I think I will have to pass for now, I am pretty far gone." A light hic-up followed his last statement, giving him once more the appeal that he had already hit his limit. "I haven't had much to eat today, so it seems that the alcohol has hit me pretty quickly." Chuckling lightly, his expression changed into something a bit better than before. Her soothing company was helping him along quite nicely.

His head fell back against the bed once more, he was hitting his top already. Once more, he had to adhere to her features. She was a lovely woman who looked beautiful, no matter the alcohol or not. Of course, the alcohol had no effect on his personal decision over her. He was always truthful at least in that retrospect, she was a fine female specimen indeed. His eye lids closed once more, feeling his thoughts slowly swarming due to the alcohol. "So why did a beautiful angel like yourself grace yourself in my presence..." Another aired chuckle escaped his lips, merely shaking his head with a light smile. "Yep, I am far gone.. wouldn't be saying those things so easily otherwise." With a little snicker, his head drifted towards hers... sliding across the bedspread and slips himself closer towards her. Without realizing it, his head would try to rest against hers. Eyes flickering lightly from his drowsiness. His thoughts continued to wander as he easily said. "Sorry if I have to refuse your drink. It feels like if I had anymore, then I feel I would live up to your words you said earlier... about what other drunken guys try to do to ya." With another hic up, his blue hues ran across her form. "So whats on your mind?" He tilted his head slightly in her direction. He could tell she wanted to ask more, even without her thinking it. "Go ahead and be honest, I am pretty far gone... all blubber lips here." An innocent smile spread across his cheeks.
